Hi Nick
I went back and re listened to 960 at 10:26 PT and didn't hear what you
heard. At 10:27 I managed to make out a promo for "94.9 The Rock",
which is a sibling of KLAD in Klamath Falls. Interestingly enough, there
is also a 94.9 in Provo, but it's called "Power 94.9" and doesn't have

Yes, and much worse than last week. I should have stayed in bed this
morning! The most promising looked to be 756.001, which teased with a
strong carrier, but quickly fizzled out.

Hi Bruce,
For 960, had you considered Utah for the sports station? There
seemed to be quite a pipeline to Utah from here in Victoria during
the eclipse. Around 10:26PDT, there was a mention of west valley
and " Utah county's sports station", which is about as good an ID as

Listened from 1254-1336 utc. 3 Alaskan weather forecast stations this morning,
but MW broadcast station reception was down. No DU stations heard, even 1098
carrier was lower than usual. HLAZ 1566 signal is way down compared to previous
years.

Poorer overall today, only "very poor" audio on anything. Lots of hets
but all poor, far from audio except the 3 below. Expanded band hets
after about 1250 utc but never rose to anything approaching audio. No
sunrise boost.
774 Japan 1205 utc very poor; 1248 utc very poor; 1300 utc very poor
Thx Tim,

Fair conditions this morning. Presumed JOUB 774 providing the only audio, brief
and weak with male and female speaking at 1311. LSR at 1331.
Asian hets heard on 594, 693, 828, 972, and 1566
DU hets heard on 774 and 1098. No luck for me coaxing audio out of 1098.

easier to string up because you use a much smaller telephone wire, whereas
the dx engineering uses ladder line. the plus with the dx engineering is
