Can one of the options in the userpreferences be to always hide the preview
pane? Though I guess if fixed as you intended then this would happen
automatically after hiding the first one.

agreed - I consider this a bug.
My intention were actually that each file would remember its position and the
last position would be used for any new files.
We should probably allow it to be set in userpreference wether you *always*
want one specific setup or not.

That's not exactly true. The minimization doesn't "stick". When you open a
new XHTML file, it's displayed in Visual+Source, so you have to do it every
time you open a file. I'd love to have the "Source" tab back.

That's right you can minimize Visual part now and it will work the same way as
separate source page. That means Visual Part will not process changes until you
show it again.
