Search for *.katesession in your home (should be inside .kde*/ or .local*/) and
remove the [Kate Plugins] section inside (or delete the files, but keep in
mind, that are your saved sessions).

Thank you for the quick response. Is there anyway to disable the pate plugin
from outside of Kate? I can't open up Kate.

Hi, the only fix that comes to mind is disabling the pate plugin that is
crashing.
