I get the following error while compiling my very basic kernel
Module (a hello world module)

I am facing the following error message when i try to compile my kernel
module.
it is a simple hello world module
make: Entering directory `/usr/src/linux-3.4.6-2.10'
ERROR: Kernel configuration is invalid.
include/generated/autoconf.h or include/config/auto.conf are
missing.
I have recently started with Device Drivers in Linux and have made a
simple Hello world module.
My code is this

What is the significance of the directory named root inside /proc/ ?
ex:

I am building Kernel 3.9.10
and i have given the following Commands during the Process
1. make mrproper
2. make defconfig
3. make oldconfig
4. make -j 8
5. make modules_install
6. make install
on the last step, i face the following error

I have compiled and installed a kernel,
Now it fails to Load...and i want to remove it
what is the procedure to be followed, I have installed GRUB 1 on my
system fr simplicity during this process.

I have compiled a Kernel 3.9.10 with "allyesconfig", now it fails to boot
and gives some error of this kind during boot
