I would like to add that on modern SMR drives, immediately powering down
them after unmounting (writing) to them, can do more harm than good.

Just reproduced in a clean install in a VM to rule out configuration
cruft on my laptop. With plasma-workspace 5.18.5 it doesn't appear, on
5.18.8 it does, as shown in the attached video.

Unfortunately, this bug occurred to me again in Kubuntu 18.04 / KDE
Plasma 5.12.7 when setting language to English and region to
Netherlands. Locale is then set to en_NL.UTF-8 which is invalid, causing
rendering issues in konsole, screen, for example.
