That's a good idea Meg. I do something similar but enclose the name in square brackets to indicate it is not the birth name, i.e. Elizabeth [Jones], John [Davis]. Of course mine doesn't sort as nicely and your method but I like having all the "unknowns" grouped together. Regards, Bob O
