Must be due to the software I used to draw the characters (FontForge). I
think it tries to "enhance" the font definition file, turning it into a
very large one, athough the result (Opensymbol.ttf) is not directly
affected by these "enhancements".

I realised I missed some size_t conversions and attached is an updated
version of the second patch (the first patch is fine).
