I posted a bug report almost a year ago and since it's got zero
attention so far I'm writing to this mailing list.
My problem is that video capturing doesn't work on Logitech C510 webcam
in some cases.
Mind that audio input always works.

That patch was of no help - the system has crashed and I couldn't spot relevant

- but I can reproduce this problem using *the same system running under*
VirtualBox
in Windows 7 64.
It's almost definitely either a USB driver bug or video4linux driver bug:
