I have. Plus Hong Kong, Nanchang, Guangzhou and a few other places. If
something can be copied, scavenged or stolen and sold at a profit (working or
not, legal or not), you can assume it's being done. It doesn't take much for
something to be considered profitable, considering the cost of labor.

When times are good, a goodly amount of "counterfeits" are factory
production rejects. When times are less good and demand slackens.
value is engineered out at the factory to suit
maybe.. will have to try another part... you are right, why fake that part

up the first T102 QUAD, and voila no workey. suspect one part, looks
funny. swap it and voila! almost working... hah.
So, I have a hardware thing to sort out, tbd on that, but interesting that
the 74HC02 was fake.
