/usr/bin or /sw/bin?

I've been happily using Fink to install some of my software, and I'm considering whether I'd be better off putting Perl in /sw/bin instead of /usr/bin. Any thoughts, pro or con? Thanks, John A see me fulminate at http://www.jzip.org/

XML woes

Hi, folks, I'm fighting with nearly every XML module and not winning. Is there some sort of global solution to this problem, or do I have to fight it out one at a time? I've got 5.8.0 running and do have expat and libxml/libxml2/libxslt installed. Thanks, John A see me ful
