gnome-vfs-sftp and sftp uris?

Kon, can the LInux version be installed as a service? I ask this only because, although your www page indicates that it DOES install as a service, the www page that you reference, http://inadyn.ina-tech.net/readme.html#install suggests that the LInux version only runs as a user or script

Changing the hostname does it. I just changed my hostname and that broke it. It broke a few other things, too (in xterm, "sudo gainroot" complains GET_BY_HOSTNAME() failed) My original hostname was "NOKIA-N800-51". Change yours back to that and it should work again. --Paul On 2/19/07, Francesc

I always setup a user password, edit the 'gainroot' script, and lock the root account using 'passwd -l' The maemo wiki explains how to edit the gainroot script, or you can just install the "becomeroot" package. I don't think either of the passwords should prevent application manager from working.
