I have another user in the office that had the exact same problem. She had
installed all of the fonts that came with Corel (something like 1500) as
well as all the MapInfo and regular fonts and her text properties
If you're using WindowsNT, 95, or 98, click on Start, Settings, Control
panel, Fonts, select the fonts. Then, click on File and Delete. This should
do it. Removing some should help speed up the list access time, but I
don't know if that's specifically your problem. Hey, give it a shot. Fonts

Has anyone else had a problem with slow handling of fonts in MI? If I select
some text and hit F8, I can easily count to 10 before the font properties
