I temporarily switched my shell to bash and, indeed, the problem goes away. Are
there any logs or config files you'd like me to share? Does it work with zsh
for you?

makes any difference. If it’s indeed a problem with zsh, then hopefully you
could provide a reliable description of how to reliably reproduce the problem.
