My 1983 240D had the rear passenger side Biltstein shock broke through the
trailing arm where it rusted/broke out. The spring is still intact in the arm
. it caused the arm to bump into the outside axle rubber boot & spring a
grease leak . I put in new axles 2-3 years ago . I have another ru

Only planning to use
Leave the shock mount bolt alone if you are not planning to remove the spring,
it does not need to come out.
You will need to unbolt the links for the suspension (camber, thrust,
longitudinal, spring link, tie rod) -- tie rod will require a tie rod end tool,
I prefer the "lever" type.
