the excess water. Seeing I only wash the cars every three months or so it is
not a big deal.

Genius, pure genius.

In a prior life, we washed Army vehicles with a fire hose, literally. We
had driven those things through streams, shallow bogs, and small ponds

In my experience, pressure washers work just fine on cars. That said, the

That's exactly how our neighbor was. One day, he even got the bright idea

Here in Ohio, they won't let you use a coin-op car wash if you don't chew
tabacco and have a gun rack in your rear window. However, marrying your
cousin let's you get in without the gun rack. Being at least 100 lbs
overweight helps too.

Yeah, we do, but the ones I've seen don't compare with
a pressure washer.
And after all, it's just the good ol' boys with their
mud covered swamp buggys that use those things anyway

Understand that in Florida a pressure washer is pretty
much a standard yard implement, like a rake or shovel.
With the crap that gets on your walls, sidewalk and
screened enclosure over your pool ("pool cage") you
pretty much have to have a pressure washer to get
things clean.

Better yet, don't use a pressure washer anywhere near
Pressure washers used to be a high-ticket item, so they weren't that common.
Now they can be had for no more money than the tab for a pretty good
Saturday night's partying. I've got a couple, actually (pressure washers,
not bar tabs). Clean freaks beware! Car and tire manufacturers recommend
