My desktop pc is suffering slow death and I'm looking to get a new computer.
I was thinking about i7 CPU, SSD drive and second monitor. I have still my
trusty Nvidia GeForce 7600 GS that works fine with nv driver. I also need
second monitor.

Simple answer: it can. I'm using OpenBSD as a desktop OS for my T40 and I'm
able to do anything I need.

I have recently installed OpenBSD 4.6 on my desktop computer. Everything
works fine expect for audio. I would like to use xmms or audacious to let
some notes get out of my boxes, but the problem is they seem not to work.
The only thing thats works is mplayer.

I'm playing around with some security tools and I would like to test out the
dsniff package. I have tried to install dsniff using ports, db, libnet &
dsniff had been compiled but on the end of the installation process log file
told me that the installation of dsniff had been faked. Why?
