Late this afternoon, we had a flock of about 30 Cedar Waxwings (plus 2 robins)
eating berries off our cedar trees.

We've got our first Pine Siskin of the season at our feeders on our porch here
in Chaska. Yesterday, we had a woodpecker party - Pileated, Hairy, Downy,
Red-bellied.

Shortly after 10 AM this morning, I was with Abrahm Simons and two other
birders when we saw a Bald Eagle swoop down and fly off with the Black Scoter.
Other birds were a flock of 25 Trumpeter Swans, a couple hundred Common
Mergansers, a few hundred Canada Geese, and 4 Bald Eagles total. There

been seen in the alfalfa fields near Horace May School on U.S. Highway 71
about two miles of south of Bemidji and U.S. Hi. #2. There is a Great Gray
