Hi,
Hummm... Trade in my 'eh' for 'for-get-about-it' ?? How far did the Devils get
in the playoffs this year? :))
Besides, isn't that why we invented computers, so that we can telecommute rather
than move here, there, everywhere?? :))

1. Reconda's entry-level price for QN-StatWatch is in the low five figures (I think the sales guys will at least allow me to say that much -- they are very secretive) -- which is more than Roger's estimated $5k, but, as Bobbee kindly noted, it does a lot more than Roger's spec for a "lightweig
OK. You kept mentioning a transmit queue backing up, and I though maybe your
channel was having problems triggering.
You were probably starting the app in the foreground, right? The generation
of a trigger message to the INIT queue and the consumption of the trigger
message by the trigger monitor
Hi Krishan,
Here is what we are doing: We create a local queue
called, say, EVENTQ. We delete the System event
queueus and define them as alias queues all pointing
to EVNETQ.

No. When a message arrives in the triggered queue MIRROR, the triggered
program
reads all available messages and puts them to two different queues, one on
a different
qmgr. Triggering was set to every on the MIRROR queue, even though the
triggered
application would read all of the current messages.
What is the app that is to be triggered? The channel?

Hi,
I'm not sure what your problem is, because the 3 event queues ARE local queues:
- SYSTEM.ADMIN.CHANNEL.EVENT
- SYSTEM.ADMIN.PERFM.EVENT
- SYSTEM.ADMIN.QMGR.EVENT
You can delete those queues and recreate them as queue aliases to another 3
local queues or point all 3 to a single queue local. Se
You are right, it is trigger every. I was using the mirrorq program to
duplicate
messages and it is written for trigger every. I guess I will rewrite it
for
trigger first.
I thought this problem had fixed itself when I get everything caught up
last night,
but I am seeing the same behavior today. T
Hi Heinz,
You are having a lot of problems with PeopleSOft using
AMI, and currently in the process of dealing with them
(with lost of frustration). The problem seems to
happen for sending messages over about 500K.
Yesterday, it took over an hour to put a 1.8 MB

Hi Friends,
This has been puzzling me a bit .. searched the docs but couldn't get

to use local queues for this. How and where could I define these queues so
that events for all queue managers, queues and channels come to th

is only a guess. It sounds like the UNIX application is not triggering
fast enough or properly and /var/mqm may have filled up causing MQ to
freeze. MVS can sometimes move faster than the distributed side causing an

Trigger first or trigger every? If the latter, I suggest that
you change your app design to use trigger first and suck
all messages from the triggered queues.
