Talking about tube amps, I got a Lafayette LA-214A tube amplifier from someone about 20 years ago. It's got EL-84 power tubes, 1 for each channel if I remember well (class-A). I did restore it a bit, the sound is great and I really like the design as well. http://xiac.com/Images/Lafayette_LA-214A.
