Thanks. I've rebuilt my VPE network from scratch, and the problem was gone! Could it be that loading a .net file that was generated with an older version of DX, causes such problems? I don't know whether this is true, but the problem has misteriously disappeared. Rob. David Thompson wrote: >

David, I have two rpm's installed: ImageMagick-5.1.1-1 ImageMagick-devel-5.1.1-1 Does that matter? I hoped that a /* #define MAGICK5 */ in src/exec/dxmods/_im_image.c would remove the ImageMagick all together. But it's more complicated, apparently. Do you expect ImageMagick to cause th

Hi, I've just downloaded and built the current CVS of openDX 4.1.1 on my Linux RH6.2 PC. The compile session goes smooth if I comment out "#define MAGICK5" in src/exec/dxmods/_im_image.c. However, as soon as I open the VPE window, this window freezes. After a few minutes the "Connection to ser

David and others, Thank you for your replies, but ImageMagick is still invisible in DX after compilation. (see at the bottom for what CVSMake and configure reports when performed). Configure seems to find all support for ImageMagick, since all checks get a "yes". The compilation then runs fine.

Thank you Peter and Dandy for pointing out Image Magick's extensions. My main problem now boils down to: After compiling ImageMagick in, how do I tell the DX executables to use ImageMagick for generating pictures? I've downloaded DX CVS to my Linux (RH 6.2) PC. After adding the ImageMagick lib &

Hi, I'm running OpenDX 4.1.0 from recent CVS on Linux PC (RH 6.2). The WriteImage module allows the selection of GIF, but results in an error message when executed (GIF not supported or so). Apparently there's the license trouble I suppose. As far as I know, most applications then use the PNG f
