I tried backslashes but this also failed. I don;t have login.sql and other concerned files in my directory from where i am running the scripts. This script is running fine in other databases. This database is created with UTF8 characterset. I don;t think that characcter set will be the problem.

Vinay: While Remco is correct here (about using backslashes), that was probably just an oversight on your part in writing the email. Are you running or do you have a login.sql or glogin.sql script in your SQLPATH directory or the current working directory? If so, try removing it or unsetting yo
