Re: [ozmidwifery] Fund rebatesUnfortunately, you can't claim your 'joggers'
anymore on PHI Justine! Damn shame because it was one of the two things I ever
got to claim from my PHI! Well, I did get to claim a third, a pitiful amount
for my mipp that attended my son's birth nearly 13 years ago.
MessageHi Kirsten,
Are you talking about the HPV (genital warts) vaccine? They say HPV is
responsible for approx 70% of cervical cancer cases although I have seen that
figure stretched beyond the 70% for the sake of advertising of the HPV vaccine.
I'm not sure where the figure comes from. I
Sorry :) Sometimes I'm at a loss for words. I'm been called one of those
numerous times for my views on births/babies/breastfeeding. It doesn't offend
me though. It's how I feel/live/believe. I'd never call a breastfeeding
counsellor or midwive one! The ones I've met are far too good at wh
n a significant
amount of weight since having my bub almost 19 months ago, and we are still
breastfeeding about 5 times in 24 hours, but for the last 3 months or so, he's
been getting no milk between about 8pm and 4am (ish, give or take). I still
have no periods!

I've just gotta say that I'm gobsmacked at the number of hospitals/birth
centres that are actually offering waterbirths as a real option! That's great!
I don't get to hear much positive stuff about hospitals and birth these days.

Being 100% pro breastfeeding Barb, I'd like to go along with your 98%. I have
to agree with Janet though. There are very real reasons why the 98% does not
apply to all in our culture particularly. Having 100% fully breastfed three
babies from periods of 6 months to 11 months, not used bottles

I know there have been complaints (and suggestions to fix it!) about emails
sent to the list not being received by everyone. It seems to have peaked for
me now. From what I can see from replies to original emails (the originals
that I never received), I'm only receiving approximately 50% of em
