device -- I found a couple of ones not plugged in, but nothing like
Stereo mix. I find total recorder does record what I hear because they
have a kernel driver, but no device like that.

might have issues doing things that way.

As I said in my previous message, the program works for me in Windows8 so I
think I can safely assume that it should work using Windows7. Get the demo
version of the program and see if it works. If it doesn't you aren't out
anything.

hmmm, do you have the same sound card in your old machine as in the new
one? This may be the difference, although I have never seen that stereo
mix in Windows 7, but maybe you had it in that particular sound card.
Total recorder video professional is what I recomend and I think it must
be $50 or
