Interesting thought (Bruce & Shel). I may try playing with that a bit.
I haven't done much with B&W or Sepia, but this maybe something to
play with.

Thanx for the link. I've always like abandoned buildings, and it does
get me thinking ... :-)

Actually the other side of the mill fairly wide open to a field (I'm
not sure I took anything from that side tho). Definitely approachable.
Even though we were originally hoping for a nice sunrise, grey days
are nice too.

I did shoot a number there, but few of this specific scene. I assume
your suggestio n to move to right was to bring the window in as Tim
and Shel mentioned?
Thanks for the comment tho, I am thinking about getting a print made of it.

Love the softness of the light, the mood and most everything about
this photo. Yeah, minor cropping/rendering quibbles ... but they're
all in the range of personal preference really.
Very nicely done, one of the better landscapes I've seen lately. Thanks!

Hi,
I agree with Bruce. I just did a quick sepia conversion and then
desaturated it a bit to yield a warm-toned greyscale. Other approaches may
also work well.
My only small concern is the composition. Showing the complete rightmost
window would and the complete rightmost dormer , to my mind, g

Dave,
this is a nice one, my first impression was that it nearly looks like
painted. Transports very well the feeling of a foggy morning.
Thanks for sharing!

Nice shot. This is one where I would probably do a bunch of
experimenting with post processing. It might look great in B&W or
some kind of desaturated state. Possibly even some type of watercolor
filtering could be very cool.

Dave,
The day and image are nicely suited. Grey days and weathered wood are a
couple of my favorite things.
Is the mill dry and approachable on the other side? (in case you do
have access at some point).

Beautiful shot. I love the light, which you've captured well with what appears
to be a near perfect exposure. Did you shoot more? It looks like planning
slightly to the right might have improved the frame a wee bit. But that might
not be true. It all depends on what that would have opened up on
