As Paul says, Almost.
To my eye it's a bit of camera shake (which is why the rear of
the car is slightly blurred), plus the change in angle during
the shot which makes the front of the car even more blurred
than the rear).
A K10D would help cut down on the camera shake :-)
I assume the

Good shot. I like the contrast of the red on the pavement. Like Paul,
it would be nice if the car was a bit more in focus, but i realize
panning is hard.

That works. The contrast between the red the darker cars works really well.
But the dark vignetting (added in PP?) on the RHS is a bit too heavy IMO

Almost. Either a bit out of focus or a bit too much camera shake.
Probably the latter as I can't quite find a focal point.

Thanks,
I think you're right about the added vignetting (it was in post), it's
actually balanced, but the RHS is darker than the LHS already. I might
try cropping that out a bit.

But
Thanks,
My panning still needs a little practice, I was trying to get the
nameplate sharp on this one, missed by a bit due to shake.

Judging by the angle of the shot, I'd guess you were at the end of
your pan. That's a tough shot.. As I'm sure you know, you'll get a
higher percentage of hits if you can trip the shutter in the midpoint
of your swing. But no one hits 100% on pans. At least no one I know.
Paul
On Oct 17,
4th of 5 shots in continuous. The 5th was sharp, but not nearly as good
as the 4th, even with the shake.
Gotta practice more, at least it won't cost money ;-)
