On the PC it takes only a few seconds to display all albums from an
artist, compared to the 30 seconds on the RPI.
That's bad news, as it means that the RPI isn't up to the task of
parsing large XML data in a timely manner. Qobuz' responses come with a
lot of metadata we don't actually need. W
Thanks for the reply. My music is stored in a folder called Music. All
that's changed is the name of the drive that the Music folder is stored
on. Previously it was on drive K which was connected to PC by USB.
Music folder is now on a network drive which has a virtual drive letter

So glad there's great 3rd party apps like this to keep my Squeezebox
gear still viable after they've stopped supporting it, after all the
money I spent on it. So thanks for saving me from having to start all
over with Sonos or something!

This is probably a dumb question but I cannot find this Plugin in the
Recommended 3rd Party Plugin list, and can't find a link to it anywhere.
I've scanned through several pages, but this thread is 500+ long!

See also this posting on RPi forum where someone has JiveLite working on
RPi with a USB touch screen.

Yes, you are right, other projects exists, and work well. But I wanted
an UI designed for touchscreen, which I couldn't find, that's why I
started programming Touchradio.
I don't know JiveLite, I'll have a look at it.

Hello JF,
Other ways include:
SqueezePlay (from Slimdevices/Logitech) that provides the interface on
the Squeezebox Touch and is run on a number of other devices with
touchscreens - e.g. The O2 Joggler/Openpeak device
JiveLite I don't think this has a touch interface - but (if I understood

I was about to mention that All Songs Considered was returning a broken

podcasts, but glad to see that its possible to get many podcasts through
Tunein. A new year and still finding new gems of functionality in my

Hi Paul!
As I said on the RaspberryPi forum, I'm glad you shared my post on this
forum!
I don't know if there are other similar (QT) interfaces, but I didn't
find any that met my requirements.
You said that there are other ways to do it. What do you mean? You think
that I choose a strange way t
I hope that the original author (jf02) won't mind me posting this here -
but I thought it might interest a few here.
It is a portable UI for touch screens - aimed initially at Raspberry PI
users. I know that there are other ways to do it but I thought this
looked interesting as the first(?) QT-bas
