In PT 9.03 they appear to be working. :)
There was one observation though;
In the System Usage window there is a section near the bottom of my " DSP Card
#2 and # 3 , " for instance, that just says "StaticText" unless you click on
the buffer bar it then changes to .

I only have 10 here as well. I don't remember being able to read that
window. But that was a while ago. I hope someone here can help. As
helpful as you have been on this list, someone has to know.

David you can automate and it will do the same thing. All you got to do is have
your speech a one track musical the other pull your music back with the Fater
or with the controller and it'll serve the same purpose

the process is called ducting and someone more experienced with side chaining
compressors may be able to explain better how its done. I know of no easy way
to do this in Pro TOools off hand. However garage band makes it relatively
easy. Import your two tracks in grage band, make one the ducting
if i remember correctly www.accedemicsuperstore.com is pretty lenient so if you
got a school ID thats not too old scan it in and send it in and see if they
accept it.
