You should be able to open arcinfo coverages using the ogr driver. Use the
"Add vector layer" button --> Source type "directory" --> select ArcInfo
Binary coverage.
ArcInfo coverages are not single files, they are a bunch of files in a
directory.
The more common way to exchange data with ESRI and
hi user all of qgis ..

QGIS runs fine on a clean install of Lenny, though I believe some of the
plugins will not work if it is upgraded--see the QGIS Forum for more on that.
