Great, Charles!
I took the liberty to add the "Entire Font Awesome Free repo"
to the directory of approved repositories for QGIS Resource
Sharing.
I installed the collection, and the QGIS Resource Sharing plugin
reported that 1601 SVG files were recognised in the collection.
The SVGs also showed u

Hi Nyall,
The problem is it's near impossible to know what people will use for

Hi Richard, Nyall,
Richard, I'm afraid I must respectfully disagree.
I've not encountered the QGIS Resource Sharing plugin before, and I'm

Resource Sharing" plugin does based on the description, nor is it likely

Hi Régis,
The SVGs are only 853kB compressed (1.15MB uncompressed (6.30MB on
disk)), so size shouldn't be a problem.
License: Honestly I stopped worrying about licenses year ago; I've
already wasted enough of my life dealing with licensing. :-) The Pro
version includes several thousand extra
Hi Jonathan,
I see paying plans and a free plan for private or non profit uses. Given
that QGIS is used for any kind of work, I don't think embeding their SVG is
covered by the available plans. That would break their economic model
wouldn't it?
Maybe you can contact them to see if this is possible?
Hi List,
Following from the discussion about ESRI Fonts on the OSGeo list, I got
to wondering... could QGIS include the Font Awesome symbols -
https://fontawesome.com/icons ?
It's not actually a font but a huge set of SVG's - 1,150 in fact
(excludes the "brand" icons, which QGIS wouldn't wan
