try here: # vi /etc/courier/imapd
then stop and start qmail (as a restart wouldn't pick up the changes
from what I was told).
I bumped mine up to 50 and it did not make any difference. It seemed to
me when I had 43 imapd processes running or greater, my users

To clean things up, comment out all tls-* options in spamdyke.conf, then:

I use spamdyke and I suppose the port 25 too (if its the default...)
I don't have any defunct processes...
The only param with tls in spamdyke.conf is
"tls-certificate-file=/var/qmail/control/servercert.pem"
Then even if I don't have any defunct processes, do I need to change the TLS
