While I dont see the app at all anymore on my Squeesebox radio , i did
not have to un install it, it just stopped showing up ,but i guess that
may be different for different models...

As crazy as it sounds, maybe you could put the ShoutCast App back up so
we can uninstall it? Maybe a note on the App "no longer works, only

As you talk of Duct Tape ... Apple was that company that gave free
Bumpers to those with iPhone4 connectivity problems as far as I
remember ;)

Yeah done the reuter plug thing a few times to no prevail. I put the
squeezebox near to my reuter earlier and it still lost connection and
that was with no laptop or phone in the room, ahh well I'm sure I'll
figure out the problem eventually

I belong to those that - with the help of a local server - has 99,5%
reliable alarms.
I'm waking up every day for work to a radio stream I configured.
Only in 1% of cases I hear the fallback alarm.
As I'm one of those who has deep insights into the alarm code I also
trust it's fallback mechanism
Actually, I bought a Radio so it can sit on my desk at work and play
music, rather than for an alarm clock. I didn't want the larger size of
the Boom, and I'm not playing it real loud, so Stereo isn't an issue.
Plus I like to see the album art as well, and the weather screensaver
(add-on applet) w

5. it just worked from the controller (no need to web ui anything or
copy any urls etc)
6. even the missus could use it
I really would be gutted to see this gone!
