OCW is amazing, with a lot of great lectures. It is pretty exciting that MIT,
the university largely behind OCW, is releasing MITx this spring. In the
program you can get a certificate for completing OCW curricula. One can only
hope solar physics is a topic there!

I've installed 20-30 pole mounts with the PVC conduit running from underground,
through the 3' sonotube into the concrete. It then sweeps up to meet the
pole/pipe, exits the concrete right next to it and continues to the DC disco.

Some of these "better" steel or fiberglass boxes come with threaded inserts
(on the back, near the corners) so perhaps bolting the pole mounts to the
suitably equipped box would eliminate even the welding.
