I have 3 packages that are reported by RHN to be out of date.
They won't update because they need - libsnmp-0.4.2.1.so - the trouble is I
can't find that package anywhere. What am I doing wrong? The packages that
won't update are below.
Ethereal-base
Ethereal-gtk+
Snort-snmp

Okay I know how to uninstall an rpm package - 'rpm -q '
How do I uninstall a program that is installed with - 'make install' ?
'make uninstall' - doesn't work.

I run a server for a school: email (sendmail), web server, mailscanner
(Sophos), Calendar (BrownBear Calcium) - Hardware was new in Jan.
Dell: dual Pent, 1 gig ram, Raid 5 (4 x 18 gig),
RedHat 7.2 - Krud Jan version (Krud is an update service that sends out a
new install of the current RedHat e
the server -
they would use their machine at work for that.)
Once the settings in Outlook express were changed to not use the Norton pop3
filter then all was normal.
