We have been able to get Xerox windows 7 64 bit drivers to work with samba.
The printer models we are using are WC 7345, WCP C3545, WC 7435, WC7242, WC

group is the problem ones we've seen and took special steps.

Actually, abpsvc-unix2 is the client at 192.168.0.16; it's hosted on a server
called called serenity , which is at 192.168.0.1. If it matters, serenity is
running a samba client successfully. Both
Doing what you're doing is using the wrong machine name when making the
query.
I presume that ABPSVC-UNIX2 is your server and your client is in the jail
on that machine.
You'd need a separate configuration instead of a copy from the server so
that the jail appears to be a separate client.

I've been messing around with running samba 3.4.14 inside a freebsd jail over
the last couple of days, and am running into an odd problem where wbinfo -u
and wbinfo -g succeed, but getent passwd fails (insofar that it shows only
local users, but none of the domain users).
Here's my smb.conf:

Dear Greg,
At last I saw your post : I confirm it still does not work and I am glad I am
not the only one to say it!
I recently reported a bug there :

No answer at all so far, as if printing support for 7 was not that important

I am facing the same issue in our enterprise environment after upgrading to
Lion. I tried re-adding the printer, but every time I send a document to it I
get “Printer paused.” Resuming the printer results in it immediately being
“paused” again. Hope there is a fix released in the near future.
