Well, I verified the latest script is available to sbotools and even
forced a download of the source package as well as trying to build the
package by directly running the script. All to no avail as the build
fails at the same point each time as with my screenshots from my OP.

I am working on putting together a SlackBuild script for lxi-tools 1.16
(BTW, the script works perfectly on Current). The problem isn't in the
script but rather in the 'configure' script. Here is how the package

My build system for Slackbuilds is a full installation (except KDE) of

categories available that the xlog.desktop file specifies.
