MODIFYONCE is a good way to do it so that it won't change your SUBJECT
line again if you're jumping back and forth between the headers (TO,
FROM etc) and the message body.
Just curious: How would jumping between the headers change the
subject? Never saw this behaviour yet?

If I try to view an attachment a message box pops up, asking if I want
to save to disk or want to view directly.
I know I can suppress this message by holding shift when opening it
but how to permanently turn it off?
