The project was advertised on social media (Facebook), looking for field
scientists with caving and/or climbing experience and a “slender build” in
order to get into the room with the fossils. I think a preference was made for
young people just starting out in a scientific career

Today's New York Times has a front-page article on that new Homo fossil. I
think it is the same cave that someone (probably Lindsay Eaves) gave a talk
about at a UT Grotto meeting a year or so ago.
