Hi where the wire is too thin for the crimp
I actually strip the wire to long and fold it half
One reason to crimp is so there is not a hard line for a fracture
IE a point for the cable to brake
By soldering the joint you actually introduce a potential fracture point
It's all my time playi
Hi I am standardising on 4 pin XLR connectors for 12 Volts as used in the TV
industry Perhaps you could use the 6 pin for 5 volts
I do not recommend the 2 pin as this is for 240 V ac
Or the 3 pin as you could take out a microphone
I am going to be Using military connectors for 24 V DC and 400 H
ed, and what you are
comparing to,
it may be better by as much as 20 to 40 db.

Hi Dave I posted the question as I am not up to speed with the latest
solutions
But I want the lowest phase noise that is easily possible so you might be
correct as it is to lock up a 10 Ghz receiver but later for a 120 Ghz
receiver

Hi you can always use a resistive splitter
So if you have an output impedance of 50 ohm
You use 2 off 50 resistors to feed 2 off 50 ohm loads / signals to other
equipment with a 50 ohm input
So we have a load comprising of 2 off 100 ohm loads in parallel = 50 ohm
This method is often use
Hi
How would you put it into operation / use it
