Agree Hasse! I have not seen many real dx-ers spotted on FT-8 though. I think they´re just watching their computers. This morning, the only station I heard was VE6WZ who called cq. He was heard for 2 hours peaking 599 so there is nothing wrong with the condx! Gott Nytt År! Calle -SM6CPY

Wasn't some of the apparent peaking of signals at sunrise due to improved signal to noise levels as noise levels drop at sunrise? 20 years ago for many of us, noise levels did actually drop at sunrise. For many DXers now, (man-made) noise levels stay the same after sunrise, so, no apparent
