and some very strong signals, on a relatively quiet band, so I was
looking forward to the Stew, however, the first serious thunderstorm
activity of our approaching summer, picked the Stew weekend to fire up

Thanks Frank & Dave,
The spacing and stagger I mentioned just doesn’t seem to work (the rear and
side lobes and ultimately the RDF) regardless of the phasing. If I’m going for
max RDF to EU that fits in my property the best scenario appears to be two 540’
beverages spaced ~20’ and staggered 70’
Here are some observations comparing broadside phased Beverage pairs and single
wires, and the effect of AZ alignment on target DX.
Does a 21 degree AZ change in Beverage orientation make a difference?
At my remote station I have 15 Beverage wires ranging from 750' to 1,000' long.
There are 3 sin
I have lost an email that described building a common mode choke for
receive antennas that was made with a binocular core and RG-316 coax or
the equivalent for 75 ohm. Looked like a simple project but I seem to
have lost the email after a recent computer swap.
thanks,
