Those strings must be in the file tags. Look for 'VA' and 'Various
Artist' in either ARTIST or ALBUMARTIST tags within the files from

I've got a 'Various Artists' folder, which is in the 'Artist' folder,
where all my compilation CDs are. I ripped via dbPoweramp and all the
directories are working fine for me.
Yesterday, I was scanning newly added FLACS and when I looke

Hi Kal
Great review - one of the best I've read in a hifi magazine for quite
some time, and I do read a few.
I am a Stereophile subscriber and always look forward to my monthly
'fix', even though I can't afford most of the gear that's reviewed,
especially given the price differential here in Oz

I have the clock set to the correct time zone but cannot see a daylight

Thanks for the info, good to hear. Yeah, reading is the main obstacle,
my 5 year old reads, but it's tough for her (4 years old doesn't yet),
so the images will help.
I am afraid, though that there is nothing like ipod's cover flow to
choose albums? (i.e full size cover art on the screen when

Hi Kal,
One day i thought i wanted a media player with a screen but didn't know
one existed (didn't bother to search for it). The next day i saw the
cover of stereophile, read the article and the day after that i bought
the touch.
Probably won't look back now either :)
Thanks for writing it.
Thanks very much, Erland, I look forward to giving it a try over the
weekend!

Well, my pictures come from different cameras over years (there are more
than 10 years of pictures) and are mostly edited with photoshop and
saved with it's "baseline optimized" option, at 8 or 9 degree of
quality out of 12 levels, so no progressive. I can send you some by
email.
