What do you mean by “proposed” kernel ? I compiled kernel via the linux-
source of my ubuntu 14.04 LTS, version of the kernel is 3.13.0-48 (using
“uname -r”) and the sources of btusb.c file doesn’t contain the patch, I
had to patch the code myself.

This issue by my guess is due to pop overs looking for an
'automaticOrientation' property in the root item to determine that they
should rotate. If that isn't a MainView or an OrientationHelper there's
no way it can succeed.

indicators panel by swiping from the top edge.

Inserted a SIM and rebooted after flash of the above.
After boot network indicator showed a wifi connection, but no cellular
connection.
On the menu the cellular showed "Offline". Examing ofono list-modems
showed ril_0 as onli
the information is not good enough to assign the issue to python2.7.

This actually seems to work
I at least get the text to show up in the messaging app, but haven't heard
if it showed up in the other end.

The funpart to observe here is that apt is crashing while writing an
apport report for an observed failure… so figure out what error it is
that apt wants to report here is probably bringing you guys a lot closer
to figure out what goes on… (looking at the stacktrace in the bugreport
alone as I don'

Indeed the testing was finished only on the phone + Unity 7 desktop (Qt
5 apps only). QA signoff is now put on hold once again because of the
Plasma 5 regression.
