unintended typo.

My bad. I forgot about Grub2. It is 'Shift Key', not 'ESC' (what I had
mentioned in Step 1). Thanks a bunch to Abir for reminding. :)

pressing 'Esc' key during bootup time after the Startup Logo disappears.
You will have your GRUB menu then and select your

Let's try another routine just before reinstalling the system.
Step 1:

Select "recovery mode" in GRUB while booting. If Ubuntu is the only OS and
don't show the GRUB by default, press ESC during boot.

Who said that and How do you know that? Do you have guessed or you are over
sure?
For your kind information, you will find *recovery mode* in the boot menu
when you are booting up your system on Ubuntu. Please boo
ave a safe mode like windows, but is there another way
of fixing things so that I don't lose the files I already have?
Thanks,
Slaven

প্রধান কার্য্যালয়,
Yesterday I messed with my graphics drivers in Ubuntu 10. When I restarted the
PC, it briefly showed the Ubuntu loading screen and then went black. And then
it is stuck. I'd like to restore my graphics settings without having to
reinstall everything. How can I do that?
Thanks,
Slaven
