Matthijs, your problem seem to be that your xorg.conf was generated by a
version prior to Feisty final or Gutsy (your tablet won't work by
default in Gutsy, but that's another bug ;) ).
I'm closing this bug now since Feisty and Gutsy definitely have
xorg.conf pointing to /dev/input/wacom.

Same for HP OfficeJet 6310.
It printed OK with Feisty and HPLIP driver, but now it's failing to
print with Gutsy. It simply loads and ejects the empty page sheet.

After speaking to our Lug Mentor it was suggested that I try a 32bit
install.
This seems to of worked flawlessly. Everything is detected correctly
and working fine.
So that would indicate an issue within the 64bit version.

Excellent! I've got no idea what the module is or how I would ever have

Kinfocenter modules are really just kcontrol modules which simply
doesn't get used by kcontrol (defined in .desktop file) so the kic*
prefix doesn't actually exist. Hence the renaming is just not going to
happen.
However the description is really (as in totally) wrong, which is going
to be fixed

think that changing those Depends would be correct. If you need to ship
your own version of defaults.list you can bring the topic on the ubuntu-
devel mailing list or ship your version in a package using dpkg-divert

The Debian packaging is in a bad shape. I will try to help fix up the
Debian package, and after that a new Ubuntu merge would be needed.
Meanwhile, feel free to merge the current state of affairs :)

If you've killed the pulseaudio daemon prior to invoking firefox to use
youtube, then how is pulseaudio to blame for filling up memory while
firefox is in use?

Yes I am using Gutsy Gibbon . 2.6.22-14-generic kernel.
