launching a Google hangout, kswapd0 popped up in top chewing up a lot of
CPU. *however*, unlike with the 3.8 kernel from raring, the system
*actually swapped things out* to free up more memory:

It goes wrong in 3 places at the moment:

- Fix 1: drm_device_keep_trying.patch (pushed to debian git, proposed on

I was almost constantly getting ~95% CPU spikes from the mount.ntfs
process, according to 'top'. Disk fragmentation or big files (some files
as large as 16GB) were not causing the issue. Defragmentation of the
disk, using a Windows workstation, didn't change anything performance
wise whatsoever.

would be done when the IPI signalling succeeds, so it seems (pointing
vaguely) something there, Well, interaction of APIC, NMI signalling, ...

slowpath in tcp_recvmsg on pandaboard
Thanks Jevonearth, was just about to test the newer kernel, now I don't
have to.
Could a guru script something up that can detect state change and run
that command as needed?
That way we can use the Plantronics at least a little for now until a
permanent fix is available.
