This is the first time GAIM crashes. I just returned from standby (5 min
or so), and was surfing with Firefox. At some point I saw a screen going
away, heard my hard drive rattling, and saw the bug report screen.

This is most likely a problem with /etc/vnc.conf not having some sane
defaults. Maybe the problem is that vncserver and vnc4server can both
be installed at the same time.
I'm looking into this further. Maybe we can patch /etc/vnc.conf from
vnc4-common package.

I really had edited the line for /dev/hda by hand, because I formatted
the partition with a new fs and the old UUID did not work any more.

Same here. With an external USB HDD I get the bug, but not with an USB
stick.

Ok, tested renaming the xorg.conf file. After reboot the maximum
resoution is 800x600.. shuld be 1920x1080. So now shuld I try somthing
else?
