I have personally submitted multiple error logs in the past and never heard
anything back. I just had a case in which mondorestore ate my system drive. It
restored to 1% and then died with the fatal error message "MOMMY!" rendering my
entire system unusable.

Seems unlikely that it would be a memory problem. I'm running the camera
without a capture card at all, and powered off in between tests (when
reattaching to various computers).
The good news is that 2.4.4.2 works on ubuntu! I just compiled and
recompiled gphoto2, and it now works f
I've reviewed Mario's patches, and his approach.
I think this is a good design, and definitely something we would want to
get into Jaunty.
This is going to be critical for Dell's support of Ubuntu on the server.

So servers, presumably running with CLI and not GNOME or KDE should be
relatively unaffected by this, correct?
I've been using ext4 on my desktop (/, not /home) for quite some time
and have seen no problems. I like the performance boost it gives me and
would like to give it to my servers as well..
