gave up. It doesn't seem worth it -- volume control works okay as-is,
and I'm concerned that maybe in some cases it will start emitting only

The Samsung R560 has the same problem, but I have a partial work-around.
If you press Fn+Up/Down, the brightness bar appears and starts flickering, but
the brightness does not change. Instead the keyboard seems to lock up.
You can return the keyboard to normal by pressing Ctrl-Alt-F3, then Ctrl-A

Please avoid Brown. We should really be phasing that out. I would stick
with natural colors, perhaps a combination of pale blue and green.
Although this should probably be handled by the design/desktop team.

gnome-appearance-properties hangs for several seconds after being
started, and spins the CPU (100% on one core).
I did an `strace gnome-appearance-properties` and
I tried today from a clean karmic installation.
First it complained about /etc/init.d/postgresql-8.3 not existing (apt-
get was installing postgresql-8.4).
Then it showed the update-rc.d warning and an sh error:

I found out from fedora documentation that Gnome >= 2.28 does not
display menu icons as a default.
These commands fixed the issue:
gconftool-2 --type boolean --set /desktop/gnome/interface/buttons_have_icons
true
gconftool-2 --type boolean --set /desktop/gnome/interface/menus_have_icons true

When starting as root, amarok works fine.
Deleting amarok's config-files as well as those from phonon didnt work.
I am pretty sure it is a bug in phonon, not amarok itself.

Same problem as with 4.570ubuntu1
I have not much idea of how to use 'git bisect', but thats only for now.
Have to take a closer look at it.
That this Dongle doesn't work with the latest bluez package is for my self not
