According to the enumerated ALSA device list, you only have a card 0.
However, you have created an asoundrc that configures the default device
to point to a nonexistent card 1. Please remove your asoundrc, log out,
and log in.

Although some of the settings were indeed set to "false", switching them
to "true" doesn't seem to have helped. Also, this is different from
that bug, as network manager doesn't even start.
Sadly, I am not aware of which package this affects. As I'm not sure
whether it's a problem with the power

After I got the command line right (with the trailing slash), and
therefore found the 0-byte files, I deleted the 0-byte files and it
solved the problem for me.

Just tried on a i386 install of Ubuntu on the same system, not updated.
Same thing happens. Will try again once I updated.
One thing I have noticed is that it works better on first run. Second
run lags sound from almost the beginning.

This is still a problem, but thanks to Jordan over at

mencoder input.ogv -ovc xvid -oac mp3lame -xvidencopts pass=1 -o
output.avi
This will give me working video that I can upload to YouTube or convert
convert to another format using ffmpe
I tested this with new profile and without extensions and it doesn't
seem to be related to profiles and/or extensions. Crash occurred when I
had two tabs open and the other site was using some Java-stuff.
I can repeat this, but I'm not that good with Linux that I could give
anymore output. Everyth
