had time yet to configure for my local domain but I noticed

I've had it happen more than once now, so I thought it would be worth
reporting, if anyone else is having problems.
Sometimes when I put my desktop in suspend the system acts like it's
going to suspend, but it just ends up in an unresponsive limbo. There's
no screen output,
Recreated the problem of the sdc appearing on the linux lines in grub.cfg on an
install to a 4G Patriot xmini usb stick.
fstab was OK with the UUID used for /, sdc1 only appearing in a comment.
I did copy the /var/log files off the install media in case they might be of
interest.
Install sequence
10.04 ripping worked for me after installing the necessary packages.
Upgraded to 10.10 today and can still rip.
Have not tried a from-scratch install to verify if any improvements have been
made in the usability issue reported here.

need and this will eat my disk, crawl the system

They work fine over here. I have a Geforce 2 MX 32MB and I can enable
effects through compiz and the extra effects from the appearance menu.

update-apt-xapi gets up to 99% cpu and stays like this for long periods,
but this is not the problem because this happens only occasionaly
The main problem seems to be the mutter app which is unoptimized. Everytime I
launch something mutter starts to eat >

No. It was fixed with the new installer. I think part of the problem was

Hello, today I decided to play with some netbook OSes.
First I installed MeeGO - good speed, actually really good, the screen layout
is a bit strange but looks nice.
Than I decided to try ubuntu 10.10 netbook version. OMG this thing is
impossible to use!
The apps work with good speed once launche

Installation works when I use kernel 2.6.36 (maverick, rc8) but as I
understand it, fglrx should work with .35 as well.
